Sapa Trekking – Bac Ha Market 3D2N By Bus from Hanoi

Itinerary: Hanoi – Sapa – Cat Cat Village – Bac Ha Market – Ban Pho Village – Lao Chai & Ta Van Villages – Sapa – Hanoi

Day 1: Hanoi – Sapa – Cat Cat Village (L, D)

07:00 – 07:30: Pick up at your hotel or at the meeting point and then departure to Sapa, following Noi Bai – Lao Cai High-way.

Along the way, you will have chance to contemplate the beauty of northwest mountains that terraced fields are sparkling in sunlight or dim in thick fog. Have a short break for 30 minutes then continue the trip to Sapa.

13:00: Arrive in Sapa, check in your hotel and have lunch.

14:30: A short trek to the gate of Cat Cat village, the village of Black H’Mong hill tribe and located near the bottom of a deep valley at the foot of Fansipan Peak. Our local guide will show you the daily life activities of the locals, trek down to the valley bottom to the waterfall where the French built a Hydroelectric Power Station; stop for photo with bridge and waterfall then you will walk uphill for bus to pick up to get back to Sapa in the afternoon. 17:00: Come back to Sapa Town.

Evening: After dinner, you are free to explore the charm of Sapa by night, enjoy roasted corn, baked eggs beside charcoal fire or go shopping. Especially on Saturday night, we highly recommend a stop at the Love Market which is one of unique cultures of ethnic minorities H’mong, Dzao in Lao Cai in particular and North West of Vietnam in general.

Day 2 (Sunday): Bac Ha Market – Ban Pho Village – Sapa (B, L, D)

07:30: Leave for Bac Ha Market after your breakfast. Bac Ha market is one of the largest markets in the Northwest region of Viet Nam and is only open on Sunday. It is situated about 110km from Sapa or about 2.5 hours away by bus and is worth every second of the ride. Every Sunday, the different and colorful ethnic minorities come all here to sell their homemade products or buy something for their family. They are H’mong, Phu La, Back Dzao, Tay or Nung minorities. Some of these ethnic minorities can’t be met in any other areas.

10:00: As soon as we arrive at Bac Ha, you will have free time for visiting one of the most colourfull market in the world. At the market, you have chance to enjoy Bac Ha people’s simple but unique kinds of food with special wines made from rice, cassavas, corn and different sorts of fruits such as plumps, apples, peaches… talking to the minorities through the guide’s interpretation.

After lunch, we leave the market for visiting the H’mong King’s house (King Hoang A Tuong) built by the French colonists and the Chinese in 1920, short walking to see Ban Pho village where is the homeland of flower H’mong.

After that, drive back to Sapa, have dinner and free at your leisure. Overnight in your hotel in Sapa.

Day 3: Lao Chai & Ta Van Villages – Sapa – Hanoi (B, L)

09:00: After breakfast, we start trekking from Sapa to Y Linh Ho then trek through the rice terraces and along Muong Hoa Stream to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai to see the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Son Mountain. Here we will discover their daily life and how they make traditional clothes, handicraft, indigo… We will visit the biggest valley which provides the best view for golden rice terrace fields in Vietnam.

12:30: Have lunch

13:30: After lunch, we walk to Ta Van village of Dzay people. It is a small group of ethnic people in Vietnam with a rich culture and beautiful houses located on rice paddy fields.

14:30: Bus picks you up at Ta Van Bridge to Sapa. Trekking distance is about 12 kms and it lasts for 4.5 hours

15.00 – 15.30: Have a shower at the shower room of the hotel.

16:00: Get on bus to back to Hanoi.

Continuing along the bottom of the Valley to go the Dzay tribe village of Ta Van to experience their way of life when you stay in a local family’s cottage.

Have dinner and overnight at homestay. You will have free time in the evening to interact with the locals, learn about their culture and customs.

Sapa Biking - Trekking 3 Days 2 Nights by Bus from Hanoi

Day 2: Ta Van Village – Giang Ta Chai Village – Su Pan Village – Ban Ho Village (B, L, D)

After breakfast at homestay, we continue to visit Red Dzao people at Giang Ta Chai Village where we also see a waterfall. The Red Dzao women have very colorful red embroidery and coins on their clothing. On their head they wear a red scarf. Some of them have shaved off their eyebrows because of a nice Red Dzao Legend.

We will walk to the rice paddy fields visit Supan Village of the H’mong people where we’ll have a nice photo session of the amazing surrounding landscapes. A trek through the bamboo forest to a waterfall gives you the experience of Vietnam tropical jungle.

Enjoy a break for magnificent scenery and then continue walking for 30 minutes to Giang Ta Chai Village of the Red Dzao people which sits on the top of a hill and looks down Muong Hoa River.

After spending time visiting the village, making friends with the Dzao and experiencing the hospitality, you will cross the river by another suspension bridge and then uphill again to Su Pan Village where you will pay visiting to a local handicraft center where H’mong and Dzao women gather for exchanging experience and skill of making handicrafts.

A late lunch will be prepared here nearby the center and then you have time relaxing as well as getting acquaintance with local school boys, girls and their teachers as well.

Keep walking a little along the main road, get through the rice terraced paddies to the second homestay in Ban Ho Village of the Tay minority people where you will spend the night on a wooden-stilt house.

Sharing dinner with the family prepared by the host and your tour guide with the local specialty and wine would be the best time for relaxing and cultural exchange.

Trekking distance is about 16km.

Sapa 3 Day Trekking 2 Nights at Homestay by Bus from Hanoi

Day 3: Ban Ho Village – Nam Toong Village – Sapa – Hanoi (B, L)

You will be waken up by the village animals or farming activities. After breakfast we will do a trek of 4km to Nam Toong remoted village of the Red Dzao people, learning their specific customs and enjoying the lanscape before getting back to the waterfall named “the Lavie” by the French during the colonial time in Vietnam for refreshing swimming.

Then back to the homestay for lunch. You will trek about 11km during this day.

After lunch, a short drive will take you back to Sapa, taking a shower and free at your leisure before transferring to the bus station.

16:00: Be available at the bus station and come back Hanoi.

09:00: Trek from Sapa to Y Linh Ho then trek through the rice terraces and along Muong Hoa Stream to the Black Hmong village, Lao Chai Village to see the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Son Mountain. From a high point of the main road, great view of the whole villages open wide to offer the marvelous panorama views, backed by high mountains and facing the river. Here you will enjoy the fresh air, see terraced fields and stream, discover and visit some of Black H’mong families.

After that, we walk to Ta Van Village of Dzay people. It is a small group of ethnic people in Vietnam with a rich culture and beautiful houses located on rice paddy fields.

We will have lunch with the locals in one of the local houses before coming back to Sapa by bus.

Afternoon: free time at your leisure for shopping or visiting Sapa Town on your own.

Day 3: Sapa – Suoi Thau – Ma Tra & Ta Phin Villages – Sapa – Hanoi (B, L)

09:30: After breakfast, we start trekking from Sapa Town and around the lake before taking a trail along local paths and through rice fields to the Black H’mong village, Ma Tra Village. You will also be able to visit a local school.

After lunch, we continue walking through beautiful scenery to the Red Dao village, Ta Phin Village. There is plenty of time to walk around the village and soak up the atmosphere. You will enjoy walking among local people. The trip also offers you the opportunity to visit local houses as well as the local caves.

14:00: We will take you from Ta Phin Village back to Sapa, take a shower and enjoy about an hour free time in Sapa before going to bus station.

16:00: Be available at the bus station and come back Hanoi.

06:30: Leave for Coc Ly Market after your breakfast. Coc Ly Market sits by side of Chay River. Every Tuesday morning, tribal residents from nearby area come to the market and trade their products. People go to the market not only for shopping but also for socializing, eating and interacting with others. The market is separated in different sections, such as the sale of cattle, horses for sale, the sale of fruits, and groceries. You are able to meet people from different minor communities, including Flower Hmong, Black Zao, Phu La, Nung and Tay.

08:30: As soon as we arrive at Coc Ly Market, you will have free time for walking around, bargaining and taking in the sights and sounds of the local life.

After lunch, we take a boat trip down stream on Chay River, sail down the gently flowing waters, lined by corn and vegetable fields, passing beautiful villages, impressive waterfalls, gorges and caves. Stop halfway down the river to visit Trung Do Village, a village of the Tay minority people. Take time to explore the farms where they grow exotic chillis and jack fruit.

14:30: Transfer to Lao Cai Station for an overnight train back to Hanoi. On the way back, stop to see the Vietnamese and Chinese Harbor Mouth in Lao Cai.

At the market, you have chance to enjoy Bac Ha people’s simple but unique kinds of food with special wines made from rice, cassavas, corn and different sorts of fruits such as plumps, apples, peaches… talking to the minorities through the guide’s interpretation.

After lunch, we leave the market for visiting the H’mong King’s house (King Hoang A Tuong) built by the French colonists and the Chinese in 1920, short walking to see Ban Pho village where is the homeland of flower H’mong.

14:30: Transfer to Lao Cai Station for an overnight train back to Hanoi. On the way back, stop to see the Vietnamese and Chinese Harbor Mouth in Lao Cai.

As soon as you arrive at Hanoi Station, we can arrange a van to pick you up and drop off at the hotel in Old Quarter.

Sapa Minority Trekking 2D1N at Homestay By Bus from Hanoi

Itinerary: Hanoi – Sapa – Lao Chai Village – Ta Van Village (Homestay) – Giang Ta Chai Village – Su Pan Village – Sapa – Hanoi

Day 1: Hanoi – Sapa – Lao Chai Village – Ta Van Village (L,D)

07:00 – 07:30: Pick up at your hotel or at the meeting point and then departure to Sapa, following Noi Bai – Lao Cai High-way.

Along the way, you will have chance to contemplate the beauty of northwest mountains that terraced fields are sparkling in sunlight or dim in thick fog. Have a short break for 30 minutes then continue the trip to Sapa.

13:00: Arrive in Sapa, check in your hotel and have lunch. You should bring a little clothing, a comfortable shoes to trek.

14:00: You will begin yours 12 km trek on small trails down the Muong Hoa Valley toward the Black H’mong village of Lao Chai. The Muong Hoa Valley contains some of the most beautiful views of terraced fields in Asia.

Continuing along the bottom of the Valley to go the Dzay tribe village of Ta Van to experience their way of life when you stay in a local family’s cottage.

Have dinner and overnight at homestay. You will have free time in the evening to interact with the locals, learn about their culture and customs.

Day 2: Ta Van Village – Giang Ta Chai Village – Su Pan Village – Sapa (B,L)

After breakfast at homestay, we continue to visit Red Dzao people at Giang Ta Chai Village where we also see a waterfall. The Red Dzao women have very colorful red embroidery and coins on their clothing. On their head they wear a red scarf. Some of them have shaved off their eyebrows because of a nice Red Dzao Legend.

We will walk to the rice paddy fields visit Supan village of the H’mong people where we’ll have a nice photo session of the amazing surrounding landscapes. A trek through the bamboo forest to a waterfall gives you the experience of Vietnam tropical jungle.

vAlong the way, we will stop by a waterfall to have a panorama view of Giang Ta Chai Village and have lunch. Then walk to the main road to take a bus back to Sapa.

15h00: Back to Sapa and free time at your leisure

15:30: The tour guide will take you to the bus stop

16:00: Get on bus to back to Hanoi.

21:30: We arrive in Ha Noi and you will be dropped off at your hotels in Old Quarter.

14:30: A short trek to the gate of Cat Cat village, the village of Black H’Mong hill tribe and located near the bottom of a deep valley at the foot of Fansipan Peak. Our local guide will show you the daily life activities of the locals, trek down to the valley bottom to the waterfall where the French built a Hydroelectric Power Station; stop for photo with bridge and waterfall then you will walk uphill for bus to pick up to get back to Sapa in the afternoon. Trekking distance is about 3.5 kms and it lasts for 2 hours

17:00: Come back to Sapa Town.

Evening: After dinner, you are free to explore the charm of Sapa by night, enjoy roasted corn, baked eggs beside charcoal fire or go shopping. Especially on Saturday night, we highly recommend a stop at the Love Market which is one of unique cultures of ethnic minorities H’mong, Dzao in Lao Cai in particular and North West of Vietnam in general.

Day 2: Lao Chai & Ta Van Villages – Sapa – Hanoi (B, L)

09:00: After breakfast, we start trekking from Sapa to Y Linh Ho then trek through the rice terraces and along Muong Hoa Stream to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai to see the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Son Mountain. Here we will discover their daily life and how they make traditional clothes, handicraft, indigo… We will visit the biggest valley which provides the best view for golden rice terrace fields in Vietnam.

12:30: Have lunch

13:30: After lunch, we walk to Ta Van village of Dzay people. It is a small group of ethnic people in Vietnam with a rich culture and beautiful houses located on rice paddy fields.

14:30: Bus picks you up at Ta Van Bridge to Sapa. Trekking distance is about 12 kms and it lasts for 4.5 hours

15.00 – 15.30: Have a shower at the shower room of the hotel.

15:30: The tour guide will take you to the bus stop

16:00: Get on bus to back to Hanoi.

21:30: We arrive in Ha Noi and you will be dropped off at your hotels in Old Quarter.
